Purpose
The purpose of the organization is to conduct and support educational, social and health programming for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community on the Palouse, southeastern Washington and north central Idaho, and to conduct any lawful activity in any lawful manner to further these purposes consistent with the Idaho Non-Profit Corporation Act (INCA).
Mission Statement
The mission of Inland Oasis is to develop and maintain a community center in which to conduct and support educational, social and health programming for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered and allied communities on the Palouse, Southeastern Washington and North Central Idaho.
HIV Testing
Inland Oasis is proud to offer free, bloodless, needless, HIV screening tests, every Sunday in the 1912 Center from 1 pm to 6 pm, and on special occassions at locations around the Palouse. Testing is 100% confidential, and you get the results 20 minutes! See the HIV Programs webpage for more info.
Official Business Meetings
Official business meetings take place on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month at 8:30 p.m. in Friendship Hall of the 1912 Center.
Sunday Potlucks
Inland Oasis hosts a potluck dinner every Sunday evening at 7:00 pm in Friendship Hall of the 1912 Center. Everyone is invited to join us. The dinners usually have a food theme, but all dishes are welcome. If you are not able to bring anything, we ask that you bring at least $2 to help support the buying of the food. Martini Tasting & Art Auction
Each year Inland Oasis' HIV Programs teams up with the MIX Drinks of the Eastside Marketplace to host a Martini Tasting & Art Auction. Click here for more info.
Pride
Palouse Pride! is an annual August event to celebrate the sexual diversity of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community on the palouse. Palouse Pride! begins with a march through Moscow or Pullman, ending in a large Diversity Festival. Check out the Palouse Pride page for more info.
Family Thanksgiving
Family Thanksgiving is an annual event held in November. The event is sponsored by Washington State University's GIESORC, the University of Idaho's Women's Center and LGBT Office, and Inland Oasis.
