Welcome to HIV Programs!

In response to the need for HIV testing in the Palouse area, HIV Programs was created in early 2008. The program was officially adopted by Inland Oasis December 2008 after the successful debut of World AIDS Day when HIV Programs was able to administer HIV tests to individuals on University of Idaho campus at no cost to clients.

HIV Programs provides OraQuick Advance® Rapid HIV 1 / 2 Antibody Tests to the general Palouse population, including but not limited to at risk demographics, on a weekly basis outside of standard business hours in a local community center at no charge.

HIV Programs works in partnership with the State of Idaho Department of Health & Welfare Family Planning, STD and HIV Program. This partnership allows not only partial sponsorship, but also quality assurance in regards to policy and State of Idaho regulations. Furthermore, this has allowed HIV Programs volunteers to receive training through the Northwest AIDS Education and Training Center as well as Orasure Technologies, Inc.

HIV Programs maintains a State of Idaho Lab Registration as well as a Clinical Laboratories Improvement Amendment (CLIA) Waiver and is compliant with all requirements and recommendations outlined via State of Idaho Department of Health & Welfare.

All HIV Programs volunteers are dedicated to the reduction of new HIV transmission, proper case management of existing HIV transmission, as well as providing the appropriate information, referral services, and care for individual risk reduction and sexual and reproductive health.

HIV Programs is a not for profit program.

Donations are more than welcome and will be used to off set any administration costs incurred by HIV Programs, and can be made to:
