Jennifer Whitney
President

I work at Planned Parenthood to protect and promote reproductive rights at the local, state and federal levels in Idaho and Washington. I wholeheartedly believe in supporting underserved populations and believe everyone should have the right to love, marry, and start a family—if they choose—as well as have access to a like-minded community in which to feel at home.

Other volunteer commitments:
Palouse Prairie School Board League of Women Voters

Elizabeth B Foster
Vice President

I have served as the Inland Oasis Vice-President (1/2011-12/2011) and the Co-facilitator for the Palouse Gender Variant Group. I’m a member of two of the supported communities and have been active in all of Inland Oasis’ activities in 2011.

I have expertise in computer hardware/software, Parliamentary procedure and conflict resolution, which I will continue to contribute to Inland Oasis.

Other volunteer commitments:
Heath District 2 Regional Planning Group for Idaho Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (IACHA)

Lauretta Mary Campbell
Secretary/Treasurer

I have partnered with Inland Oasis many times through my work with VOX at the University of Idaho, teaching safer sex education. After I graduated college I realized that volunteering with Inland Oasis was a natural fit and a way to continue making safer sex education accessible to the Palouse community.

I am effective at networking with community members and have experience teaching safer sex education to a variety of agge groups.

Other volunteer commitments:
Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest

Emily Wexler
Board Member

When I attended Palouse Pride approximately four years ago, I didn’t know what Inland Oasis was or what contributions it was making to the Palouse. I have since attended more Inland Oasis events and have realized the importance of its contributions, to the LGBT community, and the community as a whole.

I bring with me a degree in Human Development, emphasis on Adolescent Development, as well as experience with youth-at-risk and church youth groups. I also bring my time, knowledge of the community and fabulous hors d’oeuvres.

Other volunteer commitments:
None at this time

Rob Rhodes
Board Member

I have been an involved community member with Inland Oasis for the past 5 years. I have assisted with the Palouse Pride program for the past 3 years, as well as volunteered for HIV Programs for World AIDS Day in 2009 and 2010.

I bring experience with event planning and fundraising which I feel will help me have a more active role in the decision making with Inland Oasis as well as its improvement of existing programs, and the creation of new programs for the community.

Other volunteer commitments:
TabiKat Drag Shows

Gordon Mellott
Pride Program

I have served on the Inland Oasis Board since its resurrection in 2007 as well as having chaired Palouse Pride and related events for three years. I am also a drag performer with TabiKat Productions, as well as various drag venues throughout the Northwest.

I have both interest and experience with Palouse Pride, connections to communities around the Northwest, event planning and representing and entertaining the LGBTQIA community members.

Other volunteer commitments:
TabiKat Productions and Spokane based drag shows

Cameron Jester
Youth Program

I currently serve as a Crime Victim Service Center Support Advocate at Alternatives To Violence of the Palouse, in addition to having served as an Inland Oasis board member (1/2010-12/2010 and 5/2011- present). I want to continue on the Inland Oasis board to help the Youth Group transition into a fully established program.

I bring with me dedication, perseverance and experience with Inland Oasis policies and practices.

Chris Bidiman

I am one of the original organizers of the HIV Programs and I have continued to work with it for the past 3 years as the Program Director.
