Mountain View Road, Moscow ID. Drag Bingo Date: Friday, January 20 Time: 8pm - 11pm Where: Moscow Moose Lodge, 210 N. Main St., Moscow, ID Come join the Bingo Belles and Gents for a Broadway themed night of Bingo, games, and entertainment! Remember this event is free to attend, it just cost to play Bingo! Costs: $12 Gets you 12 bingo cards & dauber. $20 gets you 3 bingo cards for each of the 12 rounds & dauber. Proceeds benefit Inland Oasis Gender Group The Palouse Gender Variant Group is a support and social group for individuals who self-identify as transgender, transsexual, genderfluid, genderqueer, intersex and other non-traditional gender identities. The group's purpose is to provide a confidential, safe, open and accepting venue for support, socializing, discussing issues of concern and exchanging information about resources and activities available on the Palouse. The group meets weekly. If you are interested in participating in the group, send an email to pgv@inlandoasis.org—one of the group facilitators will contact you to set up a time to meet with you to discuss your interest and needs and to affirm that the group may be beneficial for you. New members are screened to insure a good fit with the goals of the group and the needs of the group members. Genderbread Decorating at Lavender Lunch! Thursday, December 8th, 12:30 - 1:30 pm University of Idaho Student Diversity Center (TLC 229) Join us this week for our last Lavender Lunch of the semester! This week we will take a break from the end of the semester stress and decorate gingerbread people. Construct or deconstruct their gender and enjoy a well-deserved end of the of the semester treat. As always, we will have our free PB&J lunch or bring your own. This event is open to all!! Mad Men Mondays Every Monday, 12:30 – 2:00 pm University of Idaho Women’s Center Lounge (Memorial Gym 109) An opportunity to come and watch the award-winning TV series Mad Men and engage in critical discussion of the social issues the show poses. Mad Men depicts American society and culture in the 1960s, highlighting cigarette smoking, drinking, sexism, feminism, littering, adultery, homophobia, racism, and anti-semitism. Themes of alienation, social mobility, and ruthlessness also underpin the tone of the show. Each episode is approximately 45 mins. long and an informal interactive discussion will follow.
