World AIDS Day World AIDS Day 2011 will feature Rae Lewis-Thornton on University of Idaho campus! World Aids Day is December 1st. Inland Oasis volunteers will be joining staff at the University of Idaho Commons for a day of free HIV screening and testing. Join us from 9 am to 5 pm to get your free HIV test. The process of developing the videos included a writing workshop for HIV positive persons and a few of the people in the workshop also had the opportunity to have their stories videotaped and shared as role model stories. By ignoring stigma, HIV:USA sheds light on the reality of living with the virus that causes AIDS. It gives hope and inspires others to come together in the fight against HIV/AIDS, to know one’s own status and to understand that if you are HIV positive - You are not alone. Each chapter that makes up HIV: USA will take place in a separate city and will highlight that particular states specific issues with HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS effects all of us.
