Sponsoring this event gives you and/or your product visibility at all of our Pride events. This is an excellent opportunity to reach a diverse demographic with large disposable incomes. In the quad city region, even during these tough economic times, it is important to remember that 56% of LGBT adults surveyed agreed that they "shop at stores that advertise to people like them", only 43% of non LGBT adults make the same claim.
A few interesting LGBT statistics:
- 50 % of LGBT adults say they are "very open" about their sexual orientation with the people in their lives.
- 48% of LGBT adults indicate that before deciding whether or not to buy a product or service, they try to find out whether or not the company is gay friendly. Sponsoring a pride event is a clear way to communicate that your business or organization is open and accepting.
- Nearly all (96%) of LGBT adults have purchased products or services over the Internet, as compared to 86% of heterosexual adults.
- Nearly twice as many LGBT consumers have a cable modem as heterosexuals. Therefore your presence on our website as a pride sponsor will be more likely to reach our community.
