Core Projects:
West Side Food Pantry
Started in 2020 on two shelves in Safari Pearl, the West Side Food Pantry has grown to serve approximately 2,000 individuals each month.  Through partnerships with the Idaho Food Bank, the Moscow Target, and the generous folks that live here on the Palouse, we are able to distribute between 11,000 and 13,000 pounds of food each month directly to those that need it most.

If you are interested in helping the West Side Food Pantry, you can mark your donation in the system or you can provide a physical food donation (we accept all food groups, especially gluten-free and other foods for for those with food allergies).

You can drop off food donations at 730 W. Pullman Road #3, Moscow during the week between the hours of 9am or 3pm.  The door you'll be looking for is on the back of the building facing A Street.  If you have any questions about how or when you can donate food, please contact the West Side Food Pantry directly.
On-Site Container Garden
We built an on-site container garden over the summer of 2025!  All produce grown in this garden will go straight to the West Side Food Pantry shelves, an the garden itself was built with benches and other seating so that it can not only grow produce, but community connections.

More information can be found here.
Commercial Kitchen
We recently finished building a commercial kitchen in our community center.  The kitchen will soon be available for community meals, cooking classes, processing produce from Backyard Harvest and our own garden, and will be available to rent for those in our community in need of a commercial kitchen.

More information can be found here.
Backyard Harvest
Inland Oasis is proud to be the new home of Backyard Harvest.  Part of the community for many years, this nonprofit worked with local farmers and individuals to glean after harvest, and assist with harvesting from backyard fruit trees.  All produce gathered was then distributed to local food pantries.  We are looking forward to resuming operations in the summer of 2025, and will need support from our community to do so.

If you are interested in being a part of Backyard Harvest, either as a volunteer, a grower, or as a representative of an area Pantry, please click [here].

We acknowledge that Inland Oasis is located on the ancestral homelands of the Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) and Schitsu’umsh (Coeur d’Alene) tribes.  We acknowledge that the region in which we live is named after the Palus (Palouse) tribe, who refused to cede their land and were wiped out by the US Government. We acknowledge the tribal history here, and work to respect their ancestors, as well as the diverse and vibrant Native communities who make their home here today.
