Inland Oasis moved into its current home in 2020. The space was a former doggy day-care and while the space is still a work-in-progress, we are very proud of what we have accomplished.

Not much has changed on the outside, but there are some big differences once you go inside!
What was a blank wall with big windows has turned into a cozy gathering space where people can come together.
The windows are still there, but they've been hidden by a wall that now separates this area. Behind the wall is used for storage and, when we hold events in the Center, doubles as a dressing room for the performers.
This wall has undergone some pretty major remodeling! We've removed the sliding door and the large plate glass window, and put in a standard door to the kitchen.
Once the short walls came down and the metal sheeting was removed, the section of this wall closest to the door became the counter where guests to events check in and the Inland Oasis staff works.
When we first moved into the space, it didn't have any sort of kitchen area. Since it has long been a dream of Inland Oasis to have the ability to host events and fundraisers in our own space, we began working on a kitchen almost immediately. It has come a long way, but is still not yet commercially licensed. It is one of the main projects we are working on. You can see more information on this ongoing project by clicking [here].
What was the lobby for the doggy day-care is now the West Side Food Pantry. There is a small room off the main area that once housed small kennels - those were removed and the room repainted, and now the room is home to the refrigerators and freezers that our neighbors that use the Pantry have access to.
To help us continue working on this space, please consider donating. Together, we can do more, for more.

We acknowledge that Inland Oasis is located on the ancestral homelands of the Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) and Schitsu’umsh (Coeur d’Alene) tribes. We acknowledge that the region in which we live is named after the Palus (Palouse) tribe, who refused to cede their land and were wiped out by the US Government. We acknowledge the tribal history here, and work to respect their ancestors, as well as the diverse and vibrant Native communities who make their home here today.
